		<description>It seems to me that happiness is usually a momentary thing and what one needs to strive for is a sense of well-being in life.  Can there really be a steady state of happiness? Happiness can depend on factors beyond our control.  Happiness is just a bonus on top of the steady returns of a life structured and balanced for well-being.  Even the smaller and larger sorrows that life will bring for everybody will be unable to shake too much a life set up for well-being.
I think I get what Ashwin and Raj are saying and agree with them.  I am probably just quibbling over words but understanding exactly what one one has in mind as being the state of happiness seems important to me.
