Things that make me smile #30 – Behind every successful man…

Note: I swear that I didn’t make it up. I won’t dare to. Also, my friend who sent this to me doesn’t want to be named for reasons that will become obvious [ Hint: He is married ]

There is a common saying which goes something like this

“Behind every successful man there is a woman”

My friend thinks that this is only half the story. His version goes something like this:

“Behind every successful man there is a woman. That man should be appreciated because in spite of her, he was successful”

Your friend still hasnt gotten it yet…he has not reached his true ’success’! The woman behind every successful man is the one who instigates change in him for the better. And who said she is always an angle? It takes adversity to bring out the hero. Without the ugly, the beauty cant shine. So your friend better start to appreciate his woman be she the devil, lest he’ll be forever stuck in mediocrity…and not know it. Which successful man NEEDS the appreciation? He has it already. Ha ha ha!

On a lighter note Catherine. My friend does GET it and he is happily married. And, he is lucky enough to have a wife who understands that this is a joke.
