Thanks Stephen.
On comments, here are my comments :)
People have their own preference. For some people, emailing is easy and for some people, comments are better.
Also, I don't believe that any one metric (including comments) is right. I also don't think readers are making a determination about the quality of your blog based on the number of comments that are being posted.
My $.02 of course.
Cheers,
Raj

Great post Rajesh:
I went back to look at the other 30 thoughts on blogging and found them all to be very true. I'm a blogger myself and it's amazing how checking for traffic statistics (I use Google Analytics) can be quite addictive - I do it every morning while having coffee! I also appreciate how it's ok not to write if you don't have anything valuable to add. I've had to resist the mighty temptation to post just for the sake of "posting frequently" when I know better. Thanks for the reminder!
One thing I've done was to turn off the comment section because I've read from "top bloggers" that if you aren't getting a lot of comments, it doesn't look very good. But on the other hand, you were suggesting the importance of interacting with your readers and I guess enabling comments would be one way? (Note: I made emailing me very easy at my site - it's right there on the right side of the page).
Thanks!
