Yes, you are correct. Neither there is a simple answer nor there is ONE answer to “how to make yourself difficult to ignore”

I may not be able to do justice in one comment to answer the question but if you would be kind enough to go through my series of posts on “Distinguish Yourself” you might find a few things that are of interest to you on this topic.

Well the first is absolutely the most important point but I have a feeling this is very abstract term and the concrete implementation is easier said than done.

Although it is a great cause, DMing people for this is a stretch unless you have a STRONG relationship with all of these people whom you are DMing. You can tweet the cause and people who are interested to retweet will pickup and retweet.

Hi Rajesh,
I just saw your post through Chris Garrett on Twitter. I am a relativeley new “Twitterer” with 40 some followers. I have a few people following me that have MANY MORE followers. I would like to get the word out aboout my 10-year-old’s fund raiser to help children with cancer. (http://tinyurl.com/7at5lw) I was thinking of DM’ing these people and asking them to tweet about it. Is that a good idea or a bad one?
