Thanks to Sterling, our Vistage Chair for sharing this quote at yesterday’s meeting. These few lines have a lot to offer. In fact, please share this quote to as many friends as possible.
Think about it. Today, you are equipped to deal with issues and challenges and go after opportunities of today. A few years from now, world would have changed (significantly) and what you have today (eg: skills, knowledge, network etc.) won’t e sufficient to handle what the future will unfold for you. Most people will do NOTHING about it as they are students of “Learning on the Go” school.
What does not change is that you have a choice. Investing in yourself is not a one-time thing. You have to do it for the rest of your life.
Enjoy the quote:

Want to command a premium?
You can start with creating compelling visions (and, of course, build the capacity to execute on them)

If everything is made up, you can make up hell or you can make up heaven. Which one are you making up?

“The mind is its own place,
and in itself can make heaven of hell,
or a hell of heaven”

I am deeply touched by Sadhguru’s teachings. You can learn more about him and his work at Isha Yoga. You can see a glimpse of what insights Sadhguru can pack in this simple quote.
I have heard from my other teachers and mentors that the key skill a professional has to learn is the art of building an identity in the marketplace. However, it is important to remember that this “identity” cannot be a fake one – meaning you can’t make it up. Your identity is just that – it represents “who you are”. So there is no other option left but to work on “who you are”.
Enjoy the quote and the week ahead!
“Work is an expression of who you are. So who you are is what needs to be worked out”
- Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev

I couldn’t agree more with my hero Tom on this quote. Over the last ten years, I have been involved in at least eight companies (all of them are still alive and growing, Thank God!) from a very early stage. I have watched these companies evolve and I can say that the business models for EVERY ONE of them has morphed SEVERAL TIMES during the lifetime of these companies.
Enjoy the quote and your weekend.
“Nobody – repeat, nobody-gets it right the first time.”

Look into the past lives of successful people and you will notice that most of them would have had more failures than successes. The reason may just be that they are not afraid to “try” more things. This short and sweet quote from David captures the essence of this brilliantly.

The quote below reminded me of the movie “Matrix”
It is hard to dispute and it is hard to believe. My head starts spinning sometimes but it DOES make me think.

Long back I read a quote that read something like this – “Problems come so that heroes can overcome”. The society and marketplace respects people who overcome problems. Even when you don’t encounter problems, you can go ahead and solve a problem for someone else.
If you don’t like problems, read this little quote. It will change the way you look at a problem.
“Problems are not the problem. Coping is the problem”
- Virginia Satir

Knowledge is power. Actionable knowledge is more powerful. Of course, it does not matter if you don’t take “action”.
Enjoy the quote.
“The competitive advantage of a company is its ability to translate knowledge into action.”

If your destination is too easy to reach, probably there are many people who are already there. You won’t get a prize for reaching there. If it is too good to be true, it probably is
