The Airport
He was running late. Very late! That was the last flight and he didn’t want to spend the night at the airport. He ran as fast as he could. There were only thirty minutes left. When he reached the gate his panic turned to a smile – his flight was delayed.

The Accident
Luckily, the accident wasn’t fatal. He recovered quickly. What puzzled him though – were the events that led to the accident. He remembered vividly that he had looked over his shoulders every time he changed lanes. What he forgot was that he was in the “blind spot” of someone else.

The Book
John loved the library. That day, he was engrossed in a book. He hoped
to finish reading it completely. It was almost the end and then… there
was a surprise – the last section was missing. “Alas” John thought
“this book is close to real life. You don’t know happens next…”

Phone Call
He dialed the number again. It was wrong number. That’s three times in
a row! Something was wrong. The number seemed OK. Just when he was
about to give up, he figured out, he found that the last two digits
were interchanged in his phone book. That explained it all!

The Interview
That was his last interview for the day. He had done well. The job was almost guaranteed. While the pay and position were good, there was some discomfort. He didn’t think that he was reporting to a person who could lift him to the next level. He silently walked away.

A mini saga is a story that is exactly 50 words (not 49 or 51.) What a cool idea!
Ignorance is not bliss all the time
I first heard about mini saga from Dan Pink (author of A Whole New Mind
) and fell in love with the concept. All my earlier books (published 19 years ago) were fiction. So you know why I got excited with this new thing. I know its easy to write a novel. But writing a story in 50 words? I thought it was a real challenge and a great exercise for my brain. You should see a series on this one starting today.
If you have your own “mini saga” please post the same in the comments section.
My goal is to write one mini saga per week. With all your support may be I can write more
